GS1 and HL7 join forces in global healthcare
standardisation
13 Jun 2007: GS1 and HL7 have signed a Memorandum
of Understanding to collaborate in developing global standards for healthcare. Aligning
GS1’s supply chain standards with HL7’s clinical interoperability standards will
accelerate the adoption of such standards. This will improve patient care and increase
efficiency in the Healthcare sector.
